Lack of sleep and a late night Epiphany

As I know I've mentioned in the past, I'm a duct tape lover. I've been working with it for quite sometime. Learning more as I go and perfecting the crafts I enjoy working on.
Which brings me to my duct tape rose. There's one particular way to do a rose and I hate the way it looks. It's tight and pointy and there's tutorials all over the internet to do it this easy unimaginative way.
Quite a while ago, I figured out how to make it look somewhat more realistic. Then.. I forgot. So I had to resort to the way that I hated, but I rounded off the tips and called it a day. Thinking I had re-remembered how I was doing it before.
Holy crap. I was so far from being right it's not even funny.
Two nights ago while working on the first steps for my "Art for Art" project, I had this Huge ass moment where I got so frustrated that everything clicked!
How freeing to know I won't have to suffer through the needless task of making crap. Now I can go back to the enjoyment of making something beautiful. An actual small work of art.

New beginnings and a Chance to take a chance.

Just yesterday I blogged about not having inspiration and not doing anything of creative means and yet just yesterday I found an oppertunity to push me in the right direction! It's a blog about art inspired by canadian music artists. I'm just waiting to get the process started, but here's the link in the mean time:

I'm super excited for this project! It's something different and exactly what I need to give my self that push to start making xmas presents and working on my scrapbook!
it's time to be a shut in, make a mess and get to doing what I love the most about the winter months. Expressing myself.

Rain and boring days off

It's been awhile since I've blogged again. It's also been quite sometime since I've done any crafting. Usually by this time of the year in half done my scrapbook.. I've only printed half the pictures. So procrastination might be the theme of this fall haha. I've taken a few pictures.. Infact I've got 4+ rolls of film waiting to be developed. I haven't touched a canvas in months or really duct taped much either.
I've put a lot of time into driving around, visiting, concerts and I've focused a lot of attention on my snakes. Making sure they're getting what they need. Scar has been flipped around for a few weeks, up all day and sleeping all night. It's a bit of a challenge trying to keep her from getting stressed. We've almost got her eating regularly and don't want to loose that progress.
Anyways, hopefully I'll have something soon!
